‘Restaurant L’Es Pratx’ is the restored wine making barn at the Chateau du Puits es Pratx available as a superb reception hall with space for 140 people inside & 150 on the terraces & courtyard. Live music & disco’s are all possible to create the perfect party atmosphere. The guests are surrounded by the historic artefacts of the past wine production at the Chateau.

We can help arrange the ‘Blessing’ ceremony, Wedding banquet menus, cake & drinks, table decorations, flowers, music & photography. Unlike many Hotels with fixed packages, we can adapt to individual requirements & budgets. Delicious candlelit dinners are served under the stars & slow lunches on sun terraces, buffets are held in the courtyards & vineyards, BBQ’s are held around swimming pools; we can even show films in the gardens.

We will spend time with each individual Wedding couple to create the right choice of menu to suit their requirements & budget. We have a full price range for our Wedding meals & there are large discounts for children. For Weddings & corporate functions a comprehensive range of wines are also offered to suit all budgets & tastes; a free tasting of a range of wines is offered when the bride & groom visit us, in order that they can make their own choice for their wedding reception or function.

We create an atmospheric ceremony including your choices of music, memories & readings.

We can source professional live bands, soloists & classical performers for you to perform at your wedding. We can intrigrate your freinds & musicians into becoming part of your special celebration useing our sophisticated sound system.

We provide a professional English speaking D.J. with 15 years of international experience to create a party/disco which will keep your day ‘alive’ & the atmosphere ‘rocking’ till the end of the evening. In over 10 years we have sourced some exceptional wines for your wedding

All the wines that we serve are a selection of the best in the region

• We calculate the amount of wine & champagne you will need dependant on the number of guests.

• We calculate a beer allowance within your budget for the whole weekend.

• We will not charge you for any wine not consumed, provided the bottles are unopened.

• If for any reason you wish to supply your own wine there is a corkage fee of €7.50

• A large selection of drinks can be purchased at reasonable prices at the bar in the ‘Cave’

• Alcohol purchased from outside the Chateau is not permitted during the wedding celebrations.

All the images are digitally processed & converted to CD for easy veiwing & selection

• Tim Hazael has been a professional Photographer for 35 years & has a wealth of experience.

• All price packages are based approximately on 4 hours of photography.

• Candid shots of the Bridal preparations at the Chateau prior to the ceremony.

• Full coverage of the Blessing service including arrival of the Bride & departure of Bride & Groom.

• Informal pictures as well as ‘traditional’ group shots of relatives & friends with Bride & Groom.

• Informal images of Bride & Groom taken next to the Canal Du Midi for some special memories.

• Natural shots of Bride, Groom & guests concentrating on faces & emotions through the day.

• Formal & candid shots of the guests, wedding meal, speeches, cake-cutting & first dance.

• Conversion of 25 images to CD, prepared for printing; remaining images are yours to keep.

• Price €1,500 including the copyright giving freedom to do whatever you wish with the images.

• Rate for photography:€150 p/hour If more or less is required the charge is calculated p/hour.

• Any images over 25 that are chosen for print will be charged @ €6 each.

Wedding Menu 1: Mediterranean feast @ €45 per head

The wedding meal is served on long tables with a sumptuous and continuous line of different dishes in the centre, all displayed in bowls or platters for guests to help themselves to the feast.

Gratined mussels, Poached Salmon mousse, Devilled prawns, Carpaccio of fresh fish, cured meats, foies gras mousse, ham de payee, boudin noir, smoked duck salads & crudités.

Plat Principal

Variety of traditional French plat de jour:

Parriade des poissons, Bouillabaisse, Confit de Canard, Paprika & saffron chicken, Beef bourguignon, Magret de Canard, Pintarde au vin, wild mushroom fuilleté & roasted vegetables.

The wedding meal is a Platter served at each table, 2 platters per table of 8.

1 Largest variety menu including 2 inter-course drinks @ €65 per head

2. Largest variety menu excluding inter-course drinks @ €58 per head

3. Smaller variety menu excluding inter-course drinks @ €45 per head

Entrée

Fruits de Mer & vegetarian dips with Poached Salmon mousse, Prawns, frogs legs & snails

Served as a platter at each table.

Granitée: crushed Iced 'cocktail' made with Muscat wine to drink in between courses.

Plat principal

Roasted meats & vegetables including Paprika Chicken, Quaille, Beef daube & Magret de Canard.

Sorbet: Iced 'sorbet' made from Limoncello to drink in between courses.

Dessert

Classic cakes, cannelli, chocolate, coffee & white chocolate cup-cakes, honey & saffron fruit cakes etc.

Cake is a tiered arrangement of all of the cakes!

Wedding Menu 3. 2 course French Fusion BBQ Buffet

I have tried to create a relaxed alfresco evening where guests can mingle in the gardens & eat a mixture of classic French & Mediterranean inspired dishes. There is a good balance & choice of mildly spicy food & plain grilled food to be popular with all tastes including vegetarian.

Meat:

Suckling pig, Saffron & lemon grilled chicken, Char grilled sweet & crispy pork, Sticky spare ribs,

Lamb infused with garlic & rosemary, grilled with a honey glaze & Magret de canard.

Fish:

Char grilled squid & red pepper kebabs, Prawns marinated in tarragon & Salmon steaks.

Vegetables & Salads:

Baked potatoes with a cream & chive sauce, Stir fried noodles with green vegetables, Rice & roasted vegetables, Green salad served with a yoghurt dressing, Tomato & red pepper salsa.

Dessert:
